# INFERENCE

INFERENCE is an ERC-20 token on Ethereum. You buy it with USDC and turn it into [credit](https://deference.si/docs/concepts/credit-and-activation) when you want to spend it on requests.

## Buy INFERENCE

Buy it with USDC on [Wallet](https://deference.si/wallet?tab=buy). The reserve sells 1 INFERENCE for each USDC, with no slippage and no price impact, and keeps the USDC. [Stats](https://deference.si/stats) shows how much USDC the reserve holds and how much INFERENCE is in circulation.

## Use it

Credit cannot be turned back into INFERENCE, so activate what you plan to spend.

## Price

The reserve sells INFERENCE at 1 USDC each and never buys it back. On Uniswap, trading sets the price, which can be above or below 1 USDC. Stats shows the price on Uniswap.
