# Overview

> Set up your account, check available credit, and open recent requests.

[Overview](https://deference.si/overview) is the first page after sign-in. It brings together setup, available credit and your latest requests.

## Set up and collect free credit

Follow **Get started** to link a verified email or Google account, create a key, make a request, use a coding tool and add $5 or more. Each unfinished step shows the amount it adds. Finished steps show the amount added.

Any successful request completes **Make a request**. **Use a coding tool** needs three successful requests across two sessions from a recognized tool. See [Free credit](https://deference.si/docs/concepts/free-credit) for eligibility, amounts and expiry dates.

The card folds after you finish all the steps. You can dismiss it earlier and restore it with **Show get started** in the command menu.

## Send your first request

Before your first request, **Make your first request** offers setups for curl, Python and Claude Code. Create a key first if you have none. [Quickstart](https://deference.si/docs/quickstart) walks through the request and how to check it.

## Check your balance and spend

Once you have requests in the last 30 days, Overview shows available credit, spend for the last 24 hours and 30 days, and the last 24 hours' request count. Available credit includes eligible free credit and excludes credit held by running requests.

Select **Add** beside the sidebar balance to open [Wallet](https://deference.si/docs/dashboard/wallet). Use [Usage](https://deference.si/docs/dashboard/usage) to compare spending by model or key.

## Open a recent request

Select one of your latest five requests to see its tokens, timing and cost. The list refreshes as new requests arrive. **View all** opens [Activity](https://deference.si/docs/dashboard/activity).

## Find a page or action

Use the sidebar or press ⌘ K to open the command menu. It finds pages and actions such as **Create key** and **Add credit**. On Windows and Linux, use Ctrl instead of ⌘.

Press ? for help and ⌘ / for the full shortcut list. \[ shows or hides the sidebar. Page shortcuts start with G, followed by O for Overview, M for Models, K for API keys, U for Usage, A for Activity, W for Wallet, R for Rewards or S for Settings.
